Summary of Schrems West Michigan Trout Unlimited Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2023

MUSKEGON RIVER – Several Schrems board members met with the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly in March to discuss future plans for work on the river. These included potential placement sites for temperature loggers and possible structure work in the river.

ROGUE RIVER – As an Earth Day event, the Orvis Company will be heading a Clean Up Day on the Rogue River at Richardson Sowerby Park in downtown Rockford. This will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2023, 7:30 am – 10:00 am. If you would be interested in volunteering for this event please register here.

Membership

On Thursday, April 12, 2023 the chapter will be hosting a get-together of fellow chapter members at the North Grove Brewery in Montague starting at 5:00 pm. We will have guest speakers Bryan Burroughs, executive director of Michigan Trout Unlimited as well as local Trout Unlimited staff member Jake Lemon. The cost for each guest is $25.00 and includes a taco dinner. Drinks are on you. If you would be interested, we will see you there.
