Dolan Habitat Improvement Project – Update

Although the major structure installation (20-24″ trees) in 35 sites along the Coldwater River (upstream from Baker Road bridge) is done, monitoring will be conducted over the next five years.

This week, Aaron Snell, Streamside Ecological Services Inc. installed ‘scour chain’ monitoring devices to determine if the streambed is eroding. He was also installing ‘bank pins’ to monitor erosion of the stream banks.
