Please help support the Schrems’ Embrace a Stream effort

The 2019 Embrace a Stream campaign has begun, and today we are asking you to join us in our efforts to make this the most awesome day of giving your community has ever seen!

This campaign ends at 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, so please give now while it’s on your mind.

We are writing to ask you to take five minutes to give to the Schrems TU Embrace a Stream effort. After that, you can give to other chapters that do work that you support or just kick back and watch how high the giving can go at https://www.embraceastream.org!

Your donation of any amount will help — $10, $25, $50 or more!

Here’s how you can make a HUGE difference today:

  • Make a donation
  • Spread the word. Text a friend. Share this page on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #embraceastream. Oh, and you can also just tell someone in person – that works, too.

About the Schrems Embrace a Stream project

Schrems West Michigan is currently in the middle of a three-year project to monitor and log temperatures in the Muskegon River. This is the first time this type of research has been done on the resident trout population in the Muskegon River.

We have more than 30 temperature loggers in the river currently and are recording data over the fishing season. The multiple years of data collected will give us a baseline from which to find the best method to improve river conditions and habitat. Your contribution will support continued research. The information we obtain will help us find the best path forward for the trout.

Schrems TU is making the Muskegon River a long-term project. It is one of the most important fisheries in West Michigan. It is time to pay attention and work for the benefit of the trout population.
