Eco-stewardship Service-Learning Workday

In 2017, Courtland Township received a grant to purchase a dilapidated old fish hatchery on 10 Mile Road near Rockford. This fall, the Township is developing the parcel into a publicly accessible park with trails for nature viewing. The Township is restoring a pond as well, for wildlife habitat. Many areas near the ponds are overrun with invasive and non-desirable woody shrubs. We would like to cut and treat these, and if there is time afterwards plant some native shrubs to replace them. We would love your help!
