Seminars scheduled for Jan and Feb

Our winter seminars are back and they promise to be extra-special. A great turnout at both will help ensure we can continue to put on these events. On January 17 we’ll host Steve Fraley and John Karakashian from Baldwin Bait & Tackle. They’ll talk about the great year-round fishing on the Pere Marquette. Then on February 7, we’ll hold a social gathering for anglers of all levels to come and share their experiences and adventures.

SWMTU Blog goes live!

Welcome to the new SWMTU blog! We are excited to offer this new communication medium for our membership. Did you know that our chapter has traditionally spent $2,500-$5,000 annually for newsletters? While I do not argue the validity and quality (Trout Unlimited National award winner) of our newsletter Trout Talk, I can argue that the money spent to create, publish, and mail Trout Talk could be better spent on our coldwater resources. We do not currently plan to eliminate Trout Talk, just pair it back to a couple of issues per year. All the while keeping you up to date...
