Dick Smith, who was a long-time supporter of Schrems West Michigan TU, passed away on October 12, 2019 at the age of 76 after a long battle with cancer.

Big portion of Coldwater River improved for trout habitat
About 20 logjams were modified on the Coldwater River to provide better fish cover, stabilize banks, and open new spawning beds.

TU receives tree planting grant in Michigan’s Rogue River watershed
Trout Unlimited has received funding from the U.S. Forest Service, through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, to plant nearly 17,000 trees along coldwater streams in Michigan.
