Rogue River TU project set to kick off
SWMTU raised $315,000 from major local donors that include the Wege Foundation, Frey Foundation, Wolverine Worldwide Foundation, along with individual and chapter donations. The money will pay for staff and to set up the local Home River office for the Rogue River.
Schrems West Michigan Chapter Receives Trout Unlimited’s Highest Award
Trout Unlimited has awarded its top national chapter honor for 2010 to the Schrems West Michigan Chapter. The Gold Trout chapter award is granted annually to the chapter that has made the most noteworthy contribution to the cause of coldwater conservation during the previous year.

Pigeon River work day
Saturday, August 28, SWMTU will be working with Josh Zuiderveen on the Pigeon River in Ottawa County in Hemlock Crossing Park. We will meet between 8:30-9:00 a.m. and work until approximately 1:00 p.m.

Rogue River is a TU Home River project
In July of 2010, Michigan’s Rogue River was designated as the most recent Home River program. TU initiated this program based on the premise that everything in a watershed is related and connected, and that watershed restoration requires far more than site-specific treatments.
